The moonlight frolics on the water
Trying to keep up as we sway to the song your parents got married to
Drunk off of pinot and each other
You dip me tenderly
And for a honeyed moment nothing exists
But the cloudless sky
And your face right above mine;
Barely illuminated against the
Darkness engulfing us.
Encased in your arms,
Clothed in goosebumps
And the scent of your shampoo.
My eyes drift closed as your stained lips collapse
Against mine.
The heady elixir of wine
And something that tastes like home
Assaults my senses.
No matter what we may lose in this lifetime,
I pray we never lose the ineffable desire
To balter
Amongst the stars.
It had taken me a while to transition from the photo to the poem. ๐. Both beautiful in their own way. A glass of wine never looked so good ๐
Arghhhh I knew I shouldโve chosen something better! Iโd been trying to think of photos ideas to go along with the writing but nothing was turning out for me. I appreciate your feedback ๐๐ป
And thank you ๐
Hmmm may have to take this post down for a while until I create a fitting photo ๐
lol! The original was fine, too. ๐
Youโll see it again, donโt worry ๐
Thank you ๐
It’s been nearly a year since you’ve posted. I hope that you’ve collected some stories to tell.
Hi friend, I have missed you! Iโll try to play catch up on the year that Iโve been silent
No need to! I’m just happy to see you posting again.
